If the conveyor stops, the coating voltage should be reduced to zero after 10-20 seconds. No holding voltage is required for cathodic electropaints. The voltage should be ramped in 10-15 seconds back to normal voltage as  the conveyor restarts. Units remaining in the paint tank more than 5-10 minutes may suffer severe appearance damage through settling of pigment and dirt particles on horizontal surfaces. Good tank agitation minimizes this settling problem. 如果运输链停止运行，10-20秒后，要将涂装电压减到零。对阴极电泳漆不要求维持电压，但运输量再启动时，电压要在10-15秒内渐升到正常电压。车身再电泳槽中滞留时间超过5-10分钟，可能会因颜料在水平面上沉积而导致外观不良。良好的电泳槽搅拌可减少沉淀的问题。
