Power Supplies-电源:Rectifiers should be capable of voltage adjustment between 0-500 volts. Operating history has shown a power consumption of approximately 2.5 amp hours/100 ft for current electrocoat products. System design should include an allowance for an additional 50% amperage to provide for future developments. Average current requirements for coating a vehicle can be calculated by using this equation:

Multiply the amps required by 1.5 to determine amplifier size to include the safety factor. The total amperage is divided into two zones; several rectifier modules are used in each zone (see Figure 12). Back-up rectifiers should be included in the design with proper switching to assure that production will be uninterrupted and quality undiminished in the event of rectifier failure. Current-limiting rectifiers are recommended for equipment protection. Variable-time, ramped-voltage circuitry is recommended for starting systems occurring after conveyor stops to prevent current surges which can damage coatings. Ramps of 10-15 seconds from 0 voltage to operating voltage have performed well. The rectifiers should be installed so that no power to the system is present when no production is in the tank (during lunch breaks, e.g.).

The degree of "smoothness of power" or ripple delivered by a rectifier is important. The D.C. power should be filtered such that the magnitude of peak voltages does not exceed 5% of the average D.C. with a voltage ripple of less than 5% under all load conditions.
整流器“供电平稳”度或输出脉动率很重要,直流电要经滤波,电压脉冲幅度不超过平均直流电压的5%,满负荷情况下,电压脉动率要小于5%。

Grounded power-on entry provides the greatest personal safety, the least complicated switching system, and the longest coating times on lower body areas. It also reduces arcing and pitting of shoes and contact skids.
